Leigh on Sea in Essex, we offer a range of tuning services and products for
all your Ski & Snowboard needs.

Whether it's a full service or binding mounting, pre–season tune of Hot Wax, our specialist services offer the perfect solution. Using specialist hand tuning tools and the best materials, we deliver the highest quality workmanship possible. This is the best way to get an accurate edge and base angle and a better finish to the base. Getting your equipment serviced by hand prolongs the life & increases performance, especially the handling and control when you're on the slopes.

About

Having always had a passion for winter sports, we set up Inside Edge in 2009.

We used to get our winter sports gear serviced by well known shops with machines and were never really satisfied with the finished product, so we started tuning and servicing ourselves!

Having completed several professional courses in 2009/10 we have expertise to service skis, boards and boots. We also have our own workshop based in Leigh–on–Sea, Essex.

How is our service different?

Many ski tuners use automated machines to service skis and boards, but using hand tools is our way! Hand tuning means that edge work can be done to any angles specified by the user, to give the best possible finish and perfomance.

Shop waxing machines remove excess wax immediately after application which gives little time for the wax to be absorbed in to the base, giving minimal effect. We let the wax fully cool before scraping, therefore maximising wax absorbtion, wax longevity, wax performance & base protection.

Full Service
Skis – £25   Boards – £30

Sharpen edges to existing angles, polish and deburr. Hot wax of base, scrape base to clean followed with brush structuring.

Hot wax application with universal wax (or specific wax as required by customer i.e. snowdome/dry ski slope), cool and scrape, polish with brass and nylon brushes.

Removal of wax from edges and application of Zardoz Notwax Teflon treatment to aid glide in all snow conditions.

Edge & Wax only
Skis – £20   Boards – £25

We can also offer a collect and return service, whereby for customers who live within a 10 mile radius of our workshop, we will collect and return your skis/ board for you for an additional charge of £5.

Plus, we also offer:   Base repairs and P–tex filling, Base patching and gouge repairs, Edge replacement, Delaminations. Just ask!

We offer a range of products that can be used on and off the mountain. These will help you get the best out of your equipment inbetween services.

  • Zardoz NOTwax

    Zardoz NOTwax is a liquid teflon, just apply first thing in the morning for a super slippy ride!

  • Data SOFT n SLIPPY

    Soft n Slippy is a polish for the use on dry/plastic slopes. Just apply thinly and rub in - very slippy.

  • Alpine Fluorinated Wax

    If you need a temperature specific
    wax we stock all types for all snow conditions. Just let us know where
    your going.

  • Data Carbon Black Wax

    Graphite enriched soft wax used for when temperatures are below 0c. A race wax that counteracts static build up, especially when humidity is high. For use on hard snow, ice, new snow and very cold snow conditions.

    Ski handles are a quick and simple system to allow for easy carrying of skis. Just click and go!

    Plastic slopes are alot tougher on ski/board bases.We stock several really hard waxes which will protect the base while you ski or board.
